Outlinks
This page is very much a work in progress. I am new to the small web and curation takes time. For now, I'll just throw up some cool sites I've found. Right now this list consists of techy people with helpful tutorials on their site, people whose writing I find compelling, artists whose work I enjoy, and a few sites that just made me smile, all mashed up together.
Some Site's I've Enjoyed
32-Bit Cafe - This site has some great tutorials, and their community seems to have a lot of cool stuff I want to look into more. their discourse also has this really great Resources List for the Personal Web which is packed with useful things.
Alive Enough - Styled like a retro OS, and packed with things to play with, this site is a whole experience.
Avris - The homepage of a very inspiring person who works on a lot of really cool tech, takes beautiful pictures, and has a blog where they discuss topics such as tech, gender, and their life. I originally found their site from a link someone shared to their Attraction Layer Cake app. Here's my piece!
Cedrus - Another person that grew up in the 90s. Their site has really cute Tamagotchis and pixels, and their theme toggle button makes me smile.
Fabled.day - This site has a good combination of nostalgia, thought-provoking writing, and useful tutorials for anyone making a website.
The Frugal Gamer - Art, pixel dolls, collectables, writing, games, goodies. This site has all kinds of stuff and is updated frequently too.
Hexed Pixels - Pixel art, dolls, and plenty of old web nostalgia.
LoveSick - An absolutely incredible artist with a really cute site. This is a site with a lot of really cool things to explore.
Maya.land - I enjoy reading Maya's thoughts./p>
Rach Smith's Digital Garden - Another site with a lot of great writing on a wide variety of topics.
Link Me
Here are some buttons I made a while back. They don't match the theme of my current website, but I don't really care about cohesive branding anyway. They're still cool. I made an animated and non-animated version.
