Paradise Remade
This is a remake of my very first attempt at 1-bit pixel art.
Here is the original, from January 27, 2010, for comparison:

I made it for an old angel-themed website called Angel Academy, where users made art in order to level up their angel or something. I don’t remember exactly. It was a long time ago. But the theme for this was paradise, or at least that’s what I’m inclined to believe based on the file name.
The 1-bit thing was due to my angel’s gimmick of being an angel of duality. A reference to feeling like there are two sides to my own nature, and possibly reflecting my own complex relationship with religion which was starting to surface at that point in my life.
I guess I can share some pictures. Keep in mind, this is really old art.

She was based on something I made in a dollmaker. I do not have that image saved.
Here’s a portrait I made:

And a doodle I made in a notebook in 2018:

I didn’t quite think these were good enough to share in my main art gallery, but I wanted to give this character a little time in the light because she’s been a presence in my imagination for a good portion of my life now. Maybe I’ll give her a 2025 remake.
